CARES farmers spotlighted in article

This program is CARES or the County Alliance for Responsible
Environmental Stewardship.

On Tuesday, myself and several hundred other people will gather at
the Stansel Farm & Nursery in Wellborn to recognize 27 farming
operations and their owners. I noticed a newspaper article that highlighted one of the operations for its environmentally responsible farming practices.

These agricultural producers have implemented verifiable state-of-the-art management strategies known as Best Management Practices (BMPs) on their properties in the basin. Farmers truly are the first environmentalists and I am proud to be part of this recognition event.
