
Florida Farm Bureau, the state’s largest general agricultural organization, has appointed Cara Martin to be its liaison to the St. Johns River Water Management District. Martin will continue to serve as liaison between the Southwest Florida Water Management District and Farm Bureau members, a duty she has performed for six years.
She will also serve as a representative for the agriculture industry on local governmental issues within the counties that comprise both the Southwest and St. Johns River water management districts.
Martin, assistant director of government affairs for the Florida Farm Bureau Federation, is a graduate of the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business Administration and holds a master’s degree from UF’s College of Agriculture. She chairs the board of directors of Florida Agriculture in the Classroom, Inc., and chairs the Agriculture Advisory Committee to the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
