The University of Florida’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) will offer a certificate program to address nuisance and invasive plant species that pose threats to the environment.
The certificate program will be available this fall and will require students to complete nine credit hours. Courses will help students understand the biology, impacts and management of agricultural weeds that interfere with crop production, native biodiversity or recreational activities.
The weed science program is a unique blend of studying the impacts of invasive plants on the ecosystem and responsible management practices.
