Gainesville, Fla. – A Pasco County Farm Bureau insurance agent has won statewide recognition for his ability to work well with other business people and his participation in community service.
John Grant received Florida Farm Bureau’s 2014 Team Player Award at the state organization’s annual meeting in Ponte Vedra Beach on Oct. 30. Among his many contributions, Grant has been the key volunteer behind the development of an expanded Young Farmers and Ranchers program in the county.
He led the creation of various activities for young farm people, including an inaugural clay shoot and charitable projects.
As a Farm Bureau agent Grant has fostered close relationships between the Pasco County office staff and grassroots members in surrounding communities.
Florida Farm Bureau President John Hoblick said, “We appreciate the willingness of agents like John to go above and beyond the call of regular duty to serve as positive contributors within their offices and their communities. He gives his time and attention to all aspects of Farm Bureau operations. I congratulate him for his outstanding work.”
