Gainesville, Fla. – A local Farm Bureau insurance agent has received statewide recognition for his ability to work well with other business people and his participation in community service.
Ray Timmons, agency manager of the Dade County Farm Bureau, received Florida Farm Bureau’s 2013 Team Player Award at the state organization’s annual meeting in Ponte Vedra Beach on Oct. 24. Among his many contributions, Timmons has been an active volunteer helping to make the Dade County Farm Bureau’s barbecue fundraiser a success for 35 years.
He has also been a popular leader of fundraising projects in support of youth athletics and church activities.
Florida Farm Bureau President John Hoblick said, “We appreciate the willingness of agents like Ray Timmons to go above and beyond the call of regular duty to serve as positive contributors within their offices and their communities. Ray gives time and attention to all aspects of Farm Bureau operations.
“I congratulate him for his good work,” Hoblick added.
