Gainesville, Fla. – State Rep. Holly Raschein of Key Largo has received a top honor for her work on behalf of private enterprise in Florida. She received Florida Farm Bureau’s Legislator of the Year award on Oct. 24 at the organization’s 2013 annual meeting in Ponte Vedra Beach.
Raschein sponsored and won approval for legislation that reduced duplicative regulations and protected farm property owners from excessive liability due to visitors’ accidental injuries.
Her willingness to support measures that will strengthen Florida’s economic base by preserving jobs and eliminating unnecessary costs makes her a good friend of business development for all Floridians.
Florida Farm Bureau President John Hoblick thanked Raschein for her exceptional leadership on agricultural issues during the 2013 session. “We appreciate Rep. Raschein’s support for public policies that maintain economic vitality and create jobs,” Hoblick said. “We look forward to working with her in the future.”
