Classroom teachers have access to a large, free compendium that integrates agriculture within the basic curriculum for each grade level. The American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture has assembled materials useful for teachers who instruct young people from pre-kindergarten through the 12th grade.
Titled The Food & Ag Resource Guide, the large compendium is posted at http://www.agfoundation.org/ag-resource-guide. Subjects include age-appropriate lessons on natural resource conservation, animal science, the economics of farm production and many other important topics that involve the application of basic skills taught in all classrooms.
The American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture is a non-profit organization devoted to enhancing public awareness of contemporary agriculture and building trust between consumers and the families that grow food, fiber and renewable food.
