Florida agriculture sustained $1.03 billion in estimated losses from Hurricane Ian.
“It is imperative that our state’s farmers and ranchers receive disaster relief so that they can continue to grow our nation’s fresh food supply,” said Florida Farm Bureau President Jeb S. Smith. “The Block Grant Assistance Act allows the U.S. Department of Agriculture to provide improved disaster relief funding to farm families. We commend the leadership of Rep. Scott Franklin, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Sen. Rick Scott and Sen. Marco Rubio for their commitment to Florida agriculture.”
