November 2024

Eva Webb has been named the 2024 recipient of the Pat Cockrell Lifetime Achievement Award for her exemplary service to the organization and her community during her tenure. She was honored at the Florida Farm Bureau Annual Meeting.

Webb served as the Florida Farm Bureau District 8 Field Representative for 23 years where she served Hendry, Glades, Western Palm Beach, Palm Beach, Broward, Collier, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. In her role as field representative, she strengthened communication efforts between her counties and the Florida Farm Bureau headquarters, assisted grassroots members by building relationships with key stakeholders and gave her counties the tools to be advocates for agriculture.

“Mrs. Webb is well respected among her peers and colleagues in the farming community,” said Florida Farm Bureau Federation President Jeb S. Smith. “She embodies the Farm Bureau culture and has dedicated more than 20 years of her career to our members, which makes her more than deserving of this award.”

“Farm Bureau is the most rewarding and greatest job I will ever have; you get up every day and get to do something meaningful,” said Webb. “I admire and have the greatest respect for those that making their living from the land.”

The Pat Cockrell Achievement Award honors Florida Farm Bureau employees who have displayed exemplary, long-term service to the organization. The inaugural award is named in honor of Florida Farm Bureau’s past employee, the late Pat Cockrell. During his 35-year tenure, Cockrell’s keen knowledge of agriculture was invaluable to all those affected by agriculture. Shortly after Cockrell’s induction into the Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame in February 2011, he lost a year-long battle with cancer.
