Flagler County Youth Farm Tours and Annual Meeting
The importance of youth involvement in agriculture is a priority for Flagler County Farm Bureau. The Young Farmers & Ranchers and Women’s Committee chairs host local farm tours to educate teachers, students and administrators about agriculture. Curriculum from programs such as Florida Ag in the Classroom is incorporated into these tours and gives members the opportunity to participate in Ag Literacy Day, where they visit schools and read to students.
Strengthening community involvement in agriculture is among the topics discussed at the Flagler County Farm Bureau annual meeting. Members gather for fellowship and barbecue while outlining future plans for growth.
