Candidate School

Florida Farm Bureau Federation in conjunction with American Farm Bureau will hold its second bi-annual Candidate School August 26-27 at Goodwood Museum & Gardens in Tallahassee.  The two day program will provide nonpartisan training to anyone interested in running for public office at the local, state, and federal levels. 

Sessions are designed for current officeholders, future candidates, campaign managers and volunteer leaders and teach the foundational skills in campaign management.  

Topics include campaign strategies and structure, budget and fundraising, effective communications. The program incorporates instruction from national, state and local political experts and has been used across the nation with candidates winning more than 78% of their campaigns.  

Participants are selected through an application-based process, which is open until July 15. Upon selection, a $325 registration fee is due.
