Alachua County Farm Bureau
Alachua County Youth and Livestock Fair
Alachua County Farm Bureau believes in investing in the future of young people and is committed to preparing them for a successful and satisfying career in agriculture. The County Farm Bureau is a generous supporter of the Youth Fair and Livestock Show. It ensures a fair price on all livestock sold at the fair and provides a stipend to youth members who chose not to sell their animal. The Youth Fair and Livestock Show is a free event that is open to the public. The young and old will enjoy old-fashioned fun and get an up-close look at what goes into caring for the animals on the farm. During the event, the County Farm Bureau also holds a Youth Appreciation Day and serves up a barbecue lunch and gifts to show participants and their families.
