Lee County Partnership with Harry Chapin Food Bank

Lee County Partnership with Harry Chapin Food Bank was originally started as a Food-Check-Out Week event. Due to its popularity within the local community, Lee County Farm Bureau began to hold the event more than once per year. The partnership brings fresh fruits and vegetables to individual families that may not have access to enough healthy and nutritious foods. The food is donated by local farmers as a way of giving back to the community. Lee County Farm Bureau members and their families look forward to volunteering at the events each year.
