John Dooner, Gadsden County
John Dooner is a professional forester and partner in Southern Forestry Consultants. From his home base in Havana, Florida, John focuses on assisting various types of landowners in managing timberland in North Central and Northwestern Florida and into neighboring Georgia and Alabama. Additionally, John plays an integral role in managing the timber on his family’s farm a few miles north of Quincy, Florida. John serves on the Gadsden County Farm Bureau board and chairs the Gadsden YF&R Group as well. He also serves on the executive committee of the Florida Forestry Association. John holds a B.S. Degree in Marketing and Management from Florida State University and a M.S. Degree in Forest Resources and Conservation from the University of Florida. John enjoys a variety of outdoor pursuits including golf, hunting, fishing, mountain climbing, and exploring.
District 2
Cody Darling, Suwannee County
Cody Darling is a first-generation agriculturalist in North Florida. Cody is the Regional Agronomist for Black Gold Farms. He received a degree from the University of Florida in Agronomy. In addition to working full time, he also farms a perennial peanut hay operation part-time. Cody enjoys spending time on his farm with his wife, Courtney, and sharing his passion for agriculture with their daughter, Grace.
