Rep. Blaise Ingoglia has earned Florida Farm Bureau’s 2020 Legislator of the Year award for his outstanding leadership during the 2020 legislative session.
Representing citizens in Spring Hill and Brooksville in Hernando County, Rep. Ingoglia played a key role in helping to pass vital issues important to Florida Farm Bureau during the 2020 legislative session.
As Chairman of the State Affairs Committee, Ingoglia sponsored HB 1199, a bill that included language preventing local governments from granting “natural rights” to rivers and other natural resources. Ultimately, this bill became part of SB 712, Florida Farm Bureau’s top priority.
“Rep. Ingoglia is a proven champion for Florida’s farm families” said Florida Farm Bureau Legislative Director Adam Basford. “This session, he went out of his way to work on several issues that are very important to Florida agriculture. We want to thank him for his strong leadership on key issues.”
