Florida Farm Bureau to lead partnership for a new FFA state headquarters

June 19, 2013

Orlando – Florida Farm Bureau President John Hoblick has announced that the statewide organization will lead a bold partnership to build a new headquarters for the Florida FFA Association. The facility will be constructed on Florida Farm Bureau’s campus in Gainesville.

In a June 13 address before the 85th Annual FFA Convention in Orlando, Hoblick said the project is valued at an estimated $1.5 million. The Florida Farm Bureau Federation and the Florida Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company will fund most of the cost. Donations from individual donors, businesses and private organizations across the state will contribute $150,000.

“This is one of most exciting initiatives I have ever had the privilege of participating in as president of our great organization,” Hoblick said. “We have always supported leadership development programs for young people. We have also enjoyed a long and productive association with our FFA partners.

“We want to continue the tradition of creating opportunities for our very capable FFA members,” Hoblick added. “I know that the new headquarters will be a vital resource for many decades into the future. This structure will stand as a permanent demonstration of our shared commitment to youth education and the quest for success.”
