Growing Up Florida-Friendly

July 2020

UF/IFAS Florida Masters Gardener Volunteers wrote and illustrated a new book to help grade-school children learn about Florida landscapes.

“Growing Up Florida-Friendly” provides a user-friendly resource to children. The book follows an orange blossom named Flory, on a journey with Russell and Harriet through the nine Florida-Friendly Landscaping™  principles.

The  book helps children understand the connection between science, gardening and plants. For more information or to order the book, visit UF/IFAS Bookstore website.
