Florida Farm Bureau Federation has released the seventh episode of its monthly podcast, Rural Recharge.
In this episode, FFB President Jeb Smith sat down with Wade Purvis, the 2023 Florida Farm Bureau Farmer of the Year, and his wife Karen, to share their family’s passion for farming and the importance of understanding the rising challenge of having a strong domestic food supply.
Originally from Hillsborough County, the Purvis family farms a variety of vegetables in Immokalee, Fla. Their farming venture is a family affair, with both children involved in the operation.
