St. Lucie County Man Is Returned to Statewide Farm Bureau Leadership Post

Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. – Delegates at Florida Farm Bureau’s 2014 Annual Meeting have unanimously re-elected St. Lucie County citrus grower Brant Schirard as vice president of the organization. First elected as Florida Farm Bureau vice president in 2010, Schirard will now begin his third consecutive term.
The vote was taken during a general session on Oct. 30. Delegates represent all areas of the state as well as a cross-section of Florida’s agricultural producers. More than 500 members and guests attended the event, held at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort, Oct. 29-31.
A third generation farmer, Schirard produces citrus for both the fresh market and juice processing.
