Florida Farm Bureau will celebrate its 81st state annual meeting at the Caribe Royale Orlando Resort, Oct. 26–28, 2022. The meeting will include award and recognition programs to honor outstanding young farmers and ranchers, state lawmakers and the accomplishments of county Farm Bureaus and individual members for their distinguished service to agriculture.
“We are honored to recognize our volunteer members at our 81st annual meeting,” said Florida Farm Bureau President Jeb S. Smith. “This year’s ‘Rooted in Resilience’ theme celebrates the passion of our grassroots members and their ability to speak up for agriculture and share their personal stories of resiliency as they help shape the policy that will protect Florida’s agricultural heritage.”
Keynote speaker Braxten Nielson will share a positive message on resiliency and overcoming setbacks and challenges. Breakout sessions include organizational cyberhacking, media training, preparing for the Farm Bill and human trafficking.
Florida Farm Bureau voting delegates will discuss and approve policy resolutions submitted by county Farm Bureaus and Florida Farm Bureau state advisory committees. These resolutions will be adopted as Farm Bureau policy for 2023.
Convention highlights include a President’s Awards Banquet, a Legislative Luncheon recognizing Florida Farm Bureau’s Legislators of the Year, the Commissioner of Agriculture’s Ag-Environmental Leadership Awards Breakfast, informative break-out sessions and a member benefits showcase.
