A group of University of Florida students will once again join their peers at various other universities across the nation to help educate non-farmers about contemporary agriculture. The students will sponsor the Third Annual AgFacts Day on March 19.
Their objective is to provide reliable information about farming and ranching in the 21st century. They hope to enhance public appreciation for the contributions of production agriculture to the quality of life we all enjoy.
Students will hand out flyers and provide samples of the abundant, high quality farm products. Last year students at 15 universities participated in the event.
At the University of Florida, undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences will coordinate the day’s activities. For more information, contact Lauren Mayo at 813-220-2590 or [email protected].
