June 2021
Florida Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers from District 3 – Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Duval, Putnam, St. Johns and Union counties – devoted a Saturday to help those in need.
More than 100 community volunteers, including 4H members, four county Farm Bureau presidents, Congresswoman Kat Cammack and the reigning Miss Florida, Lindsey Langston, were present on the morning of June 5 at the Clay County Fairgrounds to package food for local families.
In partnership with Meals of Hope, the group was able to package more than 50,000 meals. Each meal was intended to feed a family of six and was put together at 25 cents per serving. The volunteers loaded up the food and it was delivered to local food banks throughout Northeast Florida.
