We are Florida agriculture’s strongest supporter, helping to sustain local agriculture, ensuring farms thrive and fresh food is plentiful, accessible and affordable. Our goal is to improve business for farmers and ranchers, conserve our green spaces and positively impact the lives of all Floridians.
As Florida’s population grows, our rural communities become more vulnerable, with acre after acre being developed into residential and commercial spaces, increasing prices for farmers, ranchers and consumers. We’re fighting for you because agriculture is critical to the state of Florida and locally-grown food is essential for healthy bodies, families and economies.
Representing Florida’s farmers and ranchers since 1941, we understand the negative impact development can have on rural communities. Farmers are having to grow more food on less land to meet our state’s growing population. That’s why we advocate for agriculture, farm and ranch families and a better quality of life for all Floridians.
The voices that matter
I’m Farm Bureau Proud because it is a voice for the farmers. Almost all your farmers are not politicians and they don’t want to be politicians. Farm Bureau gives us that voice. We’ve got people that understand how council meetings work, how legislation works, so Farm Bureau is that outlet for the farmer that I think most farmers do appreciate.
Without Farm Bureau we would not have a voice in ag. Especially now as we are just getting some help after Hurricane Helen, and now we are starting to see more and more of state help. It’s very moving as a clam farmer to see the progress that’s been made just by actual farmers going and telling their stories.
We are Farm Bureau proud because they have been a voice for us when we had no voice. They were right there with us after Hurricane Helen, we wouldn’t be here without them. Farm Bureau is such a powerful organization and the name caries a lot of weight.
As a member, we’ll work together to stop the disappearance of local farmland and natural resources in our state. Florida Farm Bureau is your voice and your advocate for the future of family farms, land conservation and locally grown food.
