FFBF Hosts Inaugural Candidate School

Florida Farm Bureau held its inaugural 2023 Candidate School, May 23-24, at its Tallahassee office.

The two day program provided nonpartisan training to anyone interested in running for public office.

The school was designed to give potential candidates the foundational skills to campaign management.  Topics included budgeting, fundraising, media training, messaging and tips on winning an election.

“I enjoyed the Florida Farm Bureau Candidate School very much,” said Dan West, Manatee County Fair Manager and Florida Farm Bureau state board director. “The curriculum is detailed and gives great insight to prepare potential candidates.  I would recommend this class to anyone considering running for public office”.

Dates will be announced soon for the 2024 Candidate School.
