Florida Farmers Grateful for Financial Help from USDA

Florida Farm Bureau Federation President Jeb S. Smith commented on the USDA’s announcement to provide $12 billion in economic relief to America’s farmers and ranchers until benefits from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act go into effect.

“Florida Farm Bureau Federation extends our sincere appreciation to President Trump and the U.S. Department of Agriculture for announcing critical bridge payments to help America’s farmers and ranchers navigate ongoing market disruptions and rising input costs.

“This immediate support will provide much-needed stability for our farm families as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Farmers and ranchers are essential to America’s food security. We stand ready to work with the Administration and USDA to ensure that Florida agriculture has the tools needed to remain competitive, resilient, and prosperous.”

America’s farmers have been hit from every direction during this economic storm. More of their income is going to household bills and higher operating costs, including loans, equipment and supplies. This immediate assistance will make an immediate impact by providing a lifeline for farmers who work to ensure a healthy, safe and abundant food supply.
