Frankie “Bubba” Hall of Alachua County has been named the 2025 Pat Cockrell Lifetime Achievement Award recipient for the Florida Farm Bureau. Hall was recognized at the organization’s 84th state annual meeting during the President’s Awards Banquet on Oct. 27 at the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort.
Hall served as the Director of Ag Policy with Florida Farm Bureau Federation for 30 years, where he championed policies to increase the net income of farmers and ranchers and improve the quality of rural life. Even in retirement, Hall remains actively involved with Florida Farm Bureau and FFA, always keeping agriculture at the forefront. He serves in consulting roles with Highlands Precision Ag, Vanguard Renewables and Sustain RNG.
Hall is a U.S. Army veteran and recipient of the University of Florida College of Agriculture and Life Science’s Award of Distinction in 2010. The award recognizes alumni for outstanding contributions to UF, IFAS, and the agricultural, natural resource, and life science industries.
The Pat Cockrell Achievement Award honors Florida Farm Bureau employees who have displayed exemplary, long-term service to the organization. The award is named in honor of Florida Farm Bureau’s past employee, the late Pat Cockrell. During his 35-year tenure, Cockrell’s keen knowledge of agriculture was invaluable to all those he connected with. Shortly after Cockrell’s induction into the Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame in February 2011, he lost a year-long battle with cancer.
