South Florida Farmer Competes at Sunbelt Ag Expo

On October 14, 2025, Florida Farmer of the Year Jim Alderman was among the seven finalists for the 2025 Sunbelt Ag Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year Award. Alderman farms organic vegetables such as tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, eggplant and cabbage in Palm Beach and Martin counties. 

The Sunbelt Ag Expo is a three-day agricultural-based tradeshow that welcomes more than 80,000 visitors, coining it “North America’s Premier Farm Show”. The annual event features agriculture exhibits, contests, educational booths, and entertainment. 

The 2025 Southeastern Farmer of the Year overall winner was Kent Hamilton of Georgia. To learn more about the Sunbelt Ag Expo, click here

Alderman will be recognized at the Florida Farm Bureau’s 84th State Annual Meeting on October 27 for his time as the Florida Farm Bureau Farmer of the Year.
