Florida Farm Bureau Internship Program

Contribute to meaningful projects and gain hands-on professional experience with Florida’s largest agricultural organization!

Florida Farm Bureau offers paid internship opportunities to students enrolled in graduate or undergraduate education. Students majoring in agriculture and related disciplines are encouraged to apply. The internship program offers hands-on experience in day-today ag business in a dynamic office environment. We require basic knowledge of business operations, strong communication skills and an interest in grassroots advocacy. Internships are eight to 12 weeks in length with a max of 240 hours available throughout the program. Interns receive $14 an hour.

Internships are available with the following departments: Public Relations in Gainesville, Ag Policy/National Affairs in Gainesville or Tallahassee, Field Services in Gainesville and Ag Education and Technology (AEST) in Polk County. One applicant will be selected for each of the four internship opportunities.

Qualified applicants will be selected through an application and interview process with Farm Bureau’s division managers and the Intern Program Coordinator.

Application Requirements:

  • Resume and cover letter indicating preferred department
  • Current college or university transcript (transcript may be unofficial)
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Two writing samples if applying to PR
