20th Annual Suwannee CARES Celebration Honors Environmental Stewards

The 20th annual Suwannee CARES celebration was held Nov. 18, 2021 at the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences North Florida Research and Education Center in Live Oak. Nearly 200 people were in attendance for the event that recognized 20 farm families for their exemplary environmental stewardship efforts.

The program included remarks by Florida Farm Bureau President Jeb S. Smith, UF/IFAS Dean of Extension Dr. Andra Johnson, Chris Pettit from the Office of Ag Water Policy and Virginia Johns from the Suwannee River Water Management District.
