Florida Farm Bureau member Kate English of Hendry/Glades County has been appointed to the EPA’s Farm, Ranch and Rural Communities Federal Advisory Committee. English is one of 21 new members selected to provide independent policy advice and recommendations to EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin on key environmental issues affecting agriculture and rural communities.
English is a Partner with Pavese Law Firm, where she represents clients in agricultural, environmental, land use and natural resource matters. She also serves on the Florida Farm Bureau Water/Natural Resources Advisory Committee, where she provides guidance on issues affecting water supply, water quality, irrigation rights and the balance between agricultural production and natural resource stewardship.
The selection process for new members began in Dec. 2025, with more than 90 applications submitted. Members were chosen for their expertise in key EPA priority areas and represent a variety of agricultural sectors and rural stakeholders.
