The Florida Farm Bureau Classroom Mini-Grant applications are now open. Florida educators engaged in agriculture education in the classroom for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade levels are eligible to apply for a $250 classroom mini-grant to be used for promotion of agriculture in their classroom.
Interested teachers must complete an online application and include information about their budget, project purpose and timeline, measurable outcomes and how they plan to incorporate Florida agriculture in the project. Entries are encouraged in any subject area as long as agricultural concepts are integrated into the curricula. Applications and mini-grants are reviewed and dispersed by the Florida Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee.
“Our Florida Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee looks forward to distributing mini grant checks each year to deserving teachers, and it brings us immense joy to see their innovative agricultural projects come to life in the classroom,” said Victoria Register, the State Women’s Leadership Committee Chair. “Witnessing these teachers bring their creative ideas to fruition, enriching their students’ understanding of agriculture, is truly rewarding for our committee.”
Applications open Tuesday, July 8 and will close Friday, September 12, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. EST. Mini-Grant recipients will be notified via email in early October 2025.
Teachers awarded a classroom mini-grant are required to submit a final report on the completion of the project.
